Natural Farming
Whether you call it natural farming, permaculture, agro-forestry, bio-dynamic, regenerative agriculture or any other number of labels we have given to the various movements, one thing is clear: that we must tend nature with loving care as if she was our own. We as humans have the unique potential create positive change on the landscapes around us, fostering all life for the benefit of all. We as a species have done tremendous damage to our environment and with our current knowledge and technology we have the power to start the process of healing our ecosystems and in turn heal ourselves. No endeavor is more important to our continued survival and that of the plants and animals that share this home.
Our job is to begin the healing on these local levels, creating food security for our community and to regenerate the landscape for abundance. This is not a quick or easy process however the effects will create lasting change our children and their children's children's children's will benefit from. This not only includes farming for food crops but also water harvesting, food forests, native land regeneration, natural building practices and many other related appropriate technologies.
If you have not heard of these types of techniques and farming we encourage you to dive deep into the world of natural farming and see how yo might be able to begin helping our ecosystems to recover and transition into a new era of abundance for all. There are many leaders and movements that have made significant contributions to our working knowledge of nature and how we can be an integral part while still encouraging abundance for the rest of the species that live here.
Below is just a few links to get you started covering a wide range of styles and techniques in play right now across the globe. (no particular order). Every environment is different and the process to regeneration will be different depending on where you live and how much healing needs to be done, This includes the urban permaculture movement. You can even start right in your tiny high-rise apartment with a micro-aquaculture system to grow some simple leafy greens for your dinner, and nothing is more satisfying than eating food you have grown yourself.
