Crystals and minerals have held a place in human history from the very beginning, used for jewelry, currency, healing and more since before humans could talk. Throughout the ages crystals of all kinds have attracted humans by their unique qualities, colors and sparkle. While some are more sensitive to the vibrational energy emanated by seemingly inanimate 'rocks', all who walk the earth are surrounded by the powerful interplay of the very foundation elements of our planet. From Shamans to Scientists crystals and minerals have played an important role in nearly everything we do.
Here in the desert where the rocks stand boldly naked for all to see, crystals and minerals are abundant and powerful. Each type of crystal is unique and within each individual mineral is a story of the formation unique to itself. All crystals and minerals were formed by geologic processes; heat, pressure and available elements come together to form specific lattices of atoms held together by electric bonds. Different conditions dictate which form, color and subsequent energies they contain. The science/art of geology has revealed the inner structure and composition of elements within the minerals and has defined the necessary conditions needed to form in the natural environment. The field of mineralogy is huge and the information can be overwhelming, however the basics can be learned and the power of crystals can be a benefit to even those who do not understand or believe. If one has a difficult time understanding the power of crystals, look no further than your wrist watch, Quartz crystals have been used since 1927 for time keeping due to their unique properties (see discussion below on this amazing technology).
We have integrated crystals into our buildings to enhance the energetic vibrations. Our mushroom farm has crystals built into the walls and ceiling of the fruiting rooms as well as including crystal spirals into the floors of guest rooms meant for healing. To my knowledge we are the first and only group to incorporate crystals into food production and include mathematically calculated spirals of specific minerals for healing into the very foundation of buildings meant for guests.
The best way to start on your journey into healing with gems of the earth is to simply start wearing one daily and gauge how it affects you. Many resources are available to help you choose a crystal and how to use it. Most likely you already have crystals in your home or know someone who does and this can begin your journey. Crystals vibration is subtle and is used to help one in their journey, most will not 'blow you off your feet' but instead will work on your natural electrical energy fields. A guitar string is an example of a vibration which in turns creates a sound, if you are resistant (ie stiff and rigid against the vibration) you may mute the energy of a the string by preventing the free vibration.
We can assist you with a more in-depth discussion of crystals, minerals and rocks that may benefit your journey, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information as crystal healing is an easy and non-invasive way to start to align your physical and spiritual realm with the planet, universe and fellow humankind.
How Quartz Watches Work: Quartz movement is a whole different game. it relies on what is known as the “Piezoelectric Effect”; Nature made it so that when pressure is applied on quartz crystal, a low electric current “magically” appears on the crystal’s surface. This principle works vise-versa as well: When electrifying a quartz crystal, the crystal gets “squeezed”. And, if you pass a particular amount of current through it, it vibrates at a constant rate. While this phenomena occurs in some other crystals as well, only in quartz the vibration is triggered by a current which a tiny battery can produce for years.
Each watch contains a tiny piece of quartz, about in the size of a sand grain. It is usually shaped like a doubled-pronged fork, which makes it easy for the watch’s circuits to measure the number of its vibrations. In most watches, the quartz crystal oscillates 32,768 times per second. If we were to half this number 15 times in succession, the result will be “1”. The electronics of the watch do exactly that, converting the pulses into a convenient unit of time – one second. Quartz movement is far more accurate and shock-resistant than any mechanical watch.
